These crispy polenta fries are a delicious and unique alternative to traditional potato fries. Perfect as a side dish or a snack, they're easy to make and incredibly tasty.
Directions
Step 1
Bring the water, milk, and salt to a boil in a large saucepan.
Step 2
Gradually whisk in the polenta, reducing the heat to low. Cook, stirring constantly, until the polenta is thick and creamy, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
Step 4
Pour the polenta into a baking dish lined with parchment paper and spread it out evenly. Allow it to cool and set for at least 1 hour.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F).
Step 6
Once the polenta is set, cut it into fry-shaped pieces.
Step 7
Place the polenta fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and season with black pepper.
Step 8
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the fries are golden and crispy, turning them halfway through the baking time.
Step 9
Serve hot, with your favorite dipping sauce.
