Ingredients

  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1000 ml chicken broth
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 250 ml heavy cream
  • 500 g Italian sausage
  • 200 g kale
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 800 g russet potatoes
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1
Turn on the Instant Pot and select the Sauté function. Add olive oil and heat up.
Step 2
Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
Step 3
Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until the onion is translucent.
Step 4
Add the diced potatoes, chicken broth, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine.
Step 5
Close the lid of the Instant Pot and set the valve to sealing. Select the Manual or Pressure Cook function and set the timer for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Once the cooking time is complete, perform a quick release of the pressure.
Step 7
Open the lid and add the chopped kale. Stir and let it wilt in the hot soup.
Step 8
Stir in the heavy cream and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Step 9
Serve the soup hot and enjoy!
