Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 500 g okra
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 400 g tomatoes
  • 240 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
Step 3
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Step 4
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they start to break down.
Step 5
Stir in the okra, salt, and black pepper.
Step 6
Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
Step 7
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes or until the okra is tender.
Step 8
Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot.
