  • 120 grams all-purpose flour
  • 2.5 grams black pepper
  • 450 grams catfish fillets
  • 240 grams cornmeal
  • 1 egg
  • 2.5 grams garlic powder
  • 120 ml milk
  • 5 grams salt
  • 500 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Cut the catfish fillets into nugget-sized pieces, about 1-2 inches each.
Step 2
In a shallow dish, combine cornmeal, flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

In another shallow dish, beat the egg and then mix in the milk until well combined.
Step 4
Dip each catfish nugget into the egg mixture, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture until well coated.
Step 5
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 6
Fry the catfish nuggets in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the skillet. Cook each side for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
