Ingredients

8 Servings
  • 300 grams all-purpose flour
  • 6 apples
  • 50 grams breadcrumbs
  • 200 grams butter
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 50 grams raisins
  • 150 grams sugar

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the flour and sugar.
Step 3
Cut the cold butter into small cubes and add to the flour mixture. Use your fingers to rub the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 4
Add the egg and mix until the dough comes together. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Step 5
In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and raisins.
Step 6
Roll out two-thirds of the dough on a floured surface and use it to line the bottom and sides of a 9-inch springform pan.
Step 7
Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the bottom crust.
Step 8
Fill the crust with the apple mixture, pressing down gently to pack the apples tightly.
Step 9
Roll out the remaining dough and cut into strips. Arrange the strips in a lattice pattern over the apples.
Step 10
Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Step 11
Let the tart cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before removing the sides of the pan. Serve warm or at room temperature.
