Ingredients

  • 400 grams black beans
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 100 grams breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 egg
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 250 grams mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Finely chop the mushrooms and onions.
Step 2
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent.
Step 3
Add the mushrooms and garlic to the pan and cook until the mushrooms are tender and the moisture has evaporated.
Step 4
In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher.
Step 5
Mix in the cooked mushroom mixture, breadcrumbs, egg, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Step 6
Form the mixture into patties.
Step 7
Heat a little oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
