  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 230 g butter
  • 60 g cocoa powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 120 ml milk
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 400 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan or two 9x5 inch loaf pans.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 4
Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.

Pour batter into the prepared pan(s).

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
