  • 60 g butter
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 400 g light brown sugar
  • 120 ml milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Grease a baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a medium saucepan, combine the light brown sugar, granulated sugar, milk, and butter.
Step 3
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches a soft ball stage (about 234°F or 112°C).
Step 4
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
Step 5
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then beat it until it thickens and loses some of its gloss.
Step 6
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and let it cool completely.
Step 7
Cut into squares and serve.
