  • 115 grams butter
  • 120 ml buttermilk
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 5 ml vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add sugar, buttermilk, and vanilla extract to the melted butter and stir to combine.
Step 3
Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly to prevent burning.

Once boiling, remove the pan from heat and stir in the baking soda. The syrup will foam up, so be careful.
