Ingredients

  • 240 g all-purpose flour
  • 5 g baking powder
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 115 g butter
  • 5 g cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 240 ml milk
  • 1 g salt
  • 200 g sugar

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Add the egg and mix well.
Step 4
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 5
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.

Pour the batter into a greased 9x9 inch baking pan.

In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter.
Step 8
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the cake cool in the pan on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
