Ingredients

  • 60 g breadcrumbs
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 15 ml cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 2 green onions
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 15 ml sesame oil
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 60 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, and green onions until well combined.
Step 3
Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 4
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
Step 5
While the meatballs are baking, in a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
Step 6
Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and toss them in the teriyaki sauce until they are well coated.
Step 7
Serve the teriyaki meatballs hot, garnished with additional chopped green onions if desired.
