Ingredients

  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 whole chicken

Directions

Step 1
Rinse the whole chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Step 3
Rub the chicken with olive oil and then evenly coat it with the spice mixture.
Step 4
Pour the water into the pressure cooker and place the trivet inside.
Step 5
Place the chicken on the trivet, breast side up.
Step 6
Seal the pressure cooker lid and set the valve to the sealing position.
Step 7
Cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.
Step 8
Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then perform a quick release.
Step 9
Carefully remove the chicken from the pressure cooker and let it rest for a few minutes before carving.
