Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 250 ml beef stock
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 8 sausages
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1
Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Step 2
Add sausages and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from pan and set aside.
Step 3
In the same pan, add sliced onion and cook until softened.
Step 4
Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Step 5
Stir in the apple slices and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 6
Add tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
Step 7
Pour in the beef stock and bring to a simmer.
Step 8
Return the sausages to the pan and cover with the sauce.
Step 9
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the sausages are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
Step 10
Serve hot with mashed potatoes or rice.
