Step 1
Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it reaches 85°C (185°F). Stir occasionally to prevent a skin from forming.

Remove the milk from heat and let it cool to 43°C (110°F).

In a small bowl, mix the plain yogurt with a small amount of the cooled milk until smooth.

Add the yogurt mixture back into the rest of the cooled milk and stir well.

Stir in the sugar and vanilla extract until fully dissolved.

Pour the mixture into sterilized jars and cover them with lids.
Step 7
Place the jars in a warm place (around 43°C or 110°F) for 6 to 8 hours or until the yogurt sets.

Once set, refrigerate the yogurt for at least 2 hours before serving.
