Ingredients

  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 10 cloves
  • 1 kg ham
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 500 ml red wine

Directions

Step 1
Place the ham in a large pot.

Add the brown sugar, red wine, cloves, cinnamon stick, orange zest, bay leaves, and black pepper.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.

Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 hours, turning the ham occasionally.

Remove the ham from the pot and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
