  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g bean sprouts
  • 1 carrot
  • 50 g cornflour
  • 1 egg
  • 200 g flour
  • oil
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 300 g prawns
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 stalks spring onions
  • 200 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt, pepper, and baking powder.
Step 2
Add the egg and water to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth batter forms.
Step 3
Fold in the prawns, bean sprouts, grated carrot, and chopped spring onions into the batter.
Step 4
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
Step 5
Scoop spoonfuls of the batter mixture and carefully drop into the hot oil.
Step 6
Fry the fritters until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Remove the fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
