6 Servings
  • 120 ml beef broth
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 60 ml ketchup
  • 200 grams mushrooms
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 yellow onion

Directions

Step 1
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Add the diced green bell pepper, diced yellow onion, and chopped mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for another 5 minutes, or until the mixture thickens.
Step 4
Preheat the broiler. Place the hamburger buns on a baking sheet.
Step 5
Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of the beef mixture.
Step 6
Broil the buns until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 1-2 minutes. Serve immediately with the top half of the bun.
