  • 120 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 kg brisket
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 240 ml ketchup
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 240 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 160°C (325°F).
Step 2
Place the sliced onions and minced garlic in a large roasting pan.
Step 3
Lay the brisket on top of the onions and garlic.
Step 4
In a bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, water, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Pour the sauce mixture over the brisket, ensuring it is well coated.

Cover the roasting pan tightly with aluminum foil.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 3-4 hours, or until the brisket is tender.

Remove the foil and let the brisket rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
