Simple Tiramisu

This easy tiramisu recipe is a classic Italian dessert made with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and a creamy mascarpone mixture, topped with cocoa powder.

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 240 ml espresso coffee
  • 240 ml heavy cream
  • 200 g ladyfingers
  • 450 g mascarpone cheese
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, whisk together mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Step 2
Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso coffee, making sure they are soaked but not too soggy.
Step 3
Layer the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish.
Step 4
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
Step 5
Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
Step 6
Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Step 7
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
