  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 100 g flour
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 lemon wedges
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 500 g scallops

Directions

Step 1
Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Step 3
Dredge the scallops in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Step 4
In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium-high heat.
Step 5
Once the butter has melted and the oil is hot, add the scallops to the skillet.
Step 6
Cook the scallops for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Step 7
Remove the scallops from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Serve the fried scallops immediately with lemon wedges.
