  • 190 g all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 115 g unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 120 ml whole milk

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with 12 cupcake liners.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Step 4
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
Step 5
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Step 6
Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
Step 7
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 8
Allow the cupcakes to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting.
