Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Cook until the mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes.

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer, cooking until the liquid is reduced by half.
