  • 50 g butter
  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 400 ml condensed milk
  • 500 g purple yam
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Peel and grate the purple yams.
Step 2
In a large pot, combine the grated purple yams and coconut milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously.
Step 3
Add the condensed milk, butter, sugar, and vanilla extract. Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth.
Step 4
Once the jam reaches the desired consistency, remove from heat and let it cool.
Step 5
Transfer the jam to sterilized jars for storage.
