  • 60 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 450 g ground breakfast sausage
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 960 ml whole milk

Directions

Step 1
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and crumbled, about 8-10 minutes.
Step 2
Reduce the heat to medium and sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage. Stir well to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.
Step 3
Gradually stir in the milk, about 1 cup at a time, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
Step 4
Continue to cook the mixture, stirring frequently, until it thickens to your desired consistency, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 5
Season the gravy with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot over biscuits or your favorite breakfast items.
