Ingredients

  • 8 bamboo skewers
  • 500 g chicken thighs
  • 4 green onions
  • 80 ml mirin
  • 40 ml sake
  • 80 ml soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Directions

Step 1
Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2
Cut the green onions into 1-inch pieces.
Step 3
Thread the chicken and green onion pieces alternately onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
Step 4
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
