Directions
Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy and smooth.

Add the cocoa powder and beat until well combined and smooth.
Step 3
Gradually add the powdered sugar, about 1 cup at a time, beating well on medium speed.
Step 4
Add the milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Beat on high speed for about 3 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Step 5
If the frosting is too thick, add a little more milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
Step 6
Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Before using, let it come to room temperature and beat it again until smooth.
