Ingredients

  • 25 g almonds
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 tbsp chutney
  • 2 tbsp curry powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 ml milk
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 onion
  • 50 g raisins
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vinegar

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
Soak the bread in half the milk, then squeeze out the milk and set the bread aside. Reserve the milk.
Step 3
In a large pan, sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
Step 4
Add the minced beef and cook until browned.
Step 5
Mix in the curry powder, vinegar, sugar, chutney, raisins, almonds, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 6
Crumble the soaked bread into the meat mixture and stir well.
Step 7
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, pressing it down evenly.
Step 8
Beat the eggs with the remaining milk and pour over the meat mixture.
Step 9
Place the bay leaves on top.
Step 10
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, until the top is golden and set.
