  • 200 grams bacon
  • 30 grams butter
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Chop the cabbage into large pieces.
Step 2
Cook the bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pot.

Add the chopped onion to the pot and sauté until translucent.
Step 4
Add the cabbage to the pot and stir to combine with the onions.

Pour in enough water to cover the cabbage. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the cabbage is tender, about 20-25 minutes.

Stir in the butter, salt, and pepper. Add the cooked bacon back to the pot and mix well.
