  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 cup boiling water
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 8 cups sliced peaches
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons sugar

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine peaches, 1 cup sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat peaches evenly.

Transfer the peach mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.

In another bowl, whisk together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the boiling water until just combined.

Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the peaches, spreading it out as evenly as possible.

In a small bowl, mix together 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle over the top of the batter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.
