Step 1
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the beef slices and cook until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté the onions until translucent.

Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their juices and are browned.

Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and onions, stirring well to combine.

Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
