Step 1
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar and vanilla extract, and mix until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the quick-cooking oats to the butter mixture. Cook over low heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the ingredients are well blended.

Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a 9x9 inch pan.

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter together, stirring occasionally until smooth.
