  • 0.5 cups butter
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups cornflakes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 0.5 teaspoons pepper
  • 6 large potatoes
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1.5 cups sour cream

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 2
In a large pot, cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash.

In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, sour cream, butter, onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Step 4
Transfer the potato mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Sprinkle the crushed cornflakes over the top of the potato mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
