Ingredients

  • 6 bell peppers
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 200 g cheddar cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 450 g ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 200 ml tomato sauce

Directions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
Step 3
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Step 4
Add diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
Step 5
Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
Step 6
Stir in tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 7
Fill each bell pepper with the beef mixture and place them in a baking dish.
Step 8
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each stuffed pepper.
Step 9
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until peppers are tender and cheese is melted and bubbly.
