  • 10 g cornstarch
  • 6 dried red chilies
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 5 g ginger
  • 2 green onions
  • 15 ml rice vinegar
  • 450 g shrimp
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 10 g sugar
  • 5 g Szechwan peppercorns
  • 30 ml vegetable oil
  • 60 ml water

Directions

Step 1
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
Step 2
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 3
Add garlic, ginger, green onions, dried red chilies, and Szechwan peppercorns. Stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 4
Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 5
Pour the sauce mixture over the shrimp and continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened, about 2 minutes.
Step 6
Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
