  • 240 grams all-purpose flour
  • 15 grams baking powder
  • 85 grams cold butter
  • 5 grams dried parsley
  • 2 grams garlic powder
  • 5 grams salt
  • 120 grams shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 grams sugar
  • 180 ml whole milk

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and garlic powder.
Step 3
Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.

Pour in the milk and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.

While the biscuits are baking, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and mix in 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder and the dried parsley.

Brush the warm biscuits with the garlic butter mixture immediately after they come out of the oven.
