Ingredients

  • 500 g beef sirloin
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 carrot
  • 60 g cornstarch
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 15 g ginger
  • 2 green onions
  • 30 ml hoisin sauce
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 45 g sugar
  • 500 ml vegetable oil
  • 30 ml white vinegar

Directions

Step 1
In a bowl, combine the beef with soy sauce and let marinate for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Coat the marinated beef slices with cornstarch.
Step 3
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Step 4
Fry the beef slices in batches until crispy and golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
Step 5
In another pan, heat a small amount of oil and stir-fry the carrot, bell pepper, ginger, and garlic until tender.
Step 6
Add the white vinegar, sugar, and hoisin sauce to the pan and stir well.
Step 7
Return the crispy beef to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce.
Step 8
Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
