  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 fish fillets
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 lemon wedges
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp thyme

Directions

Step 1
In a small bowl, combine the paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper.

Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Brush both sides of the fish fillets with melted butter.

Coat both sides of the fish fillets with the spice mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.

Heat a large cast-iron skillet over high heat until it is very hot.

Place the fish fillets in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the fish is blackened and flakes easily with a fork.
