  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 115 g butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 200 g marshmallows
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 6 yams

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
Place the peeled and cut yams in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 20 minutes.
Step 3
Drain the yams and place them in a baking dish.
Step 4
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.

Pour the butter and sugar mixture over the yams and gently toss to coat.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Step 7
Remove the baking dish from the oven and sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly over the top.

Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and melted.
