Ingredients

  • 30 g butter
  • 100 ml cream
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1000 g mussels
  • 30 g parsley
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 2 shallots
  • 250 ml white wine

Directions

Step 1
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the chopped shallots and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
Step 3
Pour in the white wine and bring to a boil.
Step 4
Add the cleaned mussels to the pot, cover, and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels have opened.
Step 5
Remove the mussels with a slotted spoon and set aside, discarding any that remain closed.
Step 6
Add the heavy cream and chopped parsley to the pot. Stir and let simmer for 2 minutes.
Step 7
Season the sauce with a pinch of black pepper.
Step 8
Return the mussels to the pot and toss to coat in the sauce.
Step 9
Serve the mussels in bowls with the sauce poured over them.
