Classic Yorkshire Pudding

A traditional British side dish made from a simple batter of eggs, flour, and milk, Yorkshire Pudding is perfect for pairing with roast beef and gravy.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 120 g flour
  • 300 ml milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
Step 2
In a bowl, beat the eggs until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Gradually add the milk to the eggs, whisking continuously.
Step 4
Sift the flour and salt into the mixture and whisk until smooth.
Step 5
Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes.
Step 6
Pour the vegetable oil into each compartment of a muffin tin and place in the oven to heat up.
Step 7
Once the oil is very hot, carefully pour the batter into the muffin tin compartments.
Step 8
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the puddings have puffed up and are golden brown.
Step 9
Serve immediately with roast beef and gravy.
