Ingredients

  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 tbsp chili sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup peas
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cups water

Directions

Step 1
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Step 2
In a large pot, bring the water to a boil and add the rice. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
Step 3
In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
Step 4
Add the chopped bell pepper, diced carrot, and peas to the pan. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Step 5
Stir in the cooked rice, soy sauce, chili sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
Step 6
Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, to ensure the rice is heated through and evenly coated with the sauce.
