In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.

Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and crack in the eggs.

Gradually add the milk while stirring to form a smooth batter.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Using a spaetzle maker or a colander with large holes, press the batter through into the boiling water.

Cook the spaetzle for 2-3 minutes, or until they float to the surface.

Remove the spaetzle with a slotted spoon and transfer to a bowl.

Melt the butter in a pan and add the cooked spaetzle, tossing to coat.
