Ingredients

  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 2 eggs
  • 60 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
  • 14 manicotti pasta shells
  • 900 ml marinara sauce
  • 475 g ricotta cheese
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 225 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 240 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
Cook manicotti pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 150 g of mozzarella cheese, 30 g of Parmesan cheese, eggs, basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Step 4
Fill each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture. Arrange the filled shells in a single layer in a baking dish.
Step 5
In a separate bowl, mix marinara sauce with water. Pour the sauce evenly over the filled manicotti shells.
Step 6
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
Step 7
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
Step 8
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned and bubbling.
Step 9
Let the manicotti rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
