  • 12 cucumbers
  • 2 tbsp pickling spice
  • 1 tsp red food coloring
  • 400 g sugar
  • 500 ml water
  • 500 ml white vinegar

Directions

Wash and slice the cucumbers into thin rounds.

In a large pot, combine white vinegar, sugar, water, and pickling spice. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves.
