Spinach Lasagna

A delicious and hearty lasagna made with layers of spinach, cheese, and lasagna noodles. Perfect for a family dinner or special occasion.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 800 ml marinara sauce
  • 300 g mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 g parmesan cheese
  • 500 g ricotta cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 500 g spinach

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 2
Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
Step 4
Add the fresh spinach to the pan and cook until wilted. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Step 5
In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, half of the parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Step 6
Add the cooked spinach to the ricotta mixture and stir to combine.
Step 7
In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce. Place a layer of lasagna noodles on top.
Step 8
Spread a layer of the spinach-ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of marinara sauce and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
Step 9
Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of marinara sauce and a sprinkle of mozzarella and the remaining parmesan cheese on top.
Step 10
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Step 11
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 12
Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before serving.
