A quick and creamy pasta carbonara recipe that's perfect for a comforting meal. This dish combines pasta with a rich and creamy sauce made from eggs, cheese, pancetta, and pepper.

  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 150 g pancetta
  • 100 g parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 400 g spaghetti

Directions

Step 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente.
Step 2
While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and cook the pancetta until crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, and black pepper until well combined.
Step 4
Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.
Step 5
Quickly add the hot pasta to the pan with pancetta and pour the egg mixture over the top, tossing everything together until the pasta is well coated. Add a little reserved pasta water if needed to create a creamy sauce.
Step 6
Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and black pepper if desired.
