These authentic Baja-Mexican street tacos are made with flavorful grilled carne asada, served on warm corn tortillas, and topped with fresh ingredients for a delicious and vibrant meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 500 g flank steak
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 lime
  • 60 ml lime juice
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 60 ml orange juice
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together the lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.
Step 2
Place the flank steak in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Step 3
Preheat a grill to high heat.
Step 4
Grill the marinated steak for about 7-10 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
Step 5
Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
Step 6
Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side.
Step 7
Assemble the tacos by placing some sliced steak on each tortilla, and topping with chopped onion, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice.
