Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 14 manicotti shells
  • 700 ml marinara sauce
  • 250 g mozzarella cheese
  • 1 onion
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese
  • 450 g ricotta cheese
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1
Cook manicotti shells according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine the cooked meat mixture, ricotta cheese, egg, 125 g of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.
Step 4
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Step 5
Stuff each manicotti shell with the meat and cheese mixture and place in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 6
Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, covering them completely.
Step 7
Sprinkle the remaining 125 g of mozzarella cheese on top.
Step 8
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
