  • 120 grams bacon
  • 2 grams black pepper
  • 50 grams brown sugar
  • 850 grams canned baked beans
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 120 ml ketchup
  • 60 ml molasses
  • 15 ml mustard
  • 1 onion
  • 5 grams salt
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Step 2
In a large skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
Step 3
In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion and green bell pepper until tender.
Step 4
In a large mixing bowl, combine the baked beans, cooked bacon, sautéed onion, and green bell pepper.
Step 5
Add the brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix well.
Step 6
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the beans are bubbly and the sauce has thickened.
