Syrniki are delicious Russian cheese pancakes made from farmer's cheese. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 egg
  • 500 grams farmer's cheese
  • 100 grams flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the farmer's cheese, eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth.
Step 2
Gradually add the flour, mixing until a dough forms. The dough should be soft but not too sticky.
Step 3
Dust your hands with flour and shape the dough into small patties, about 1 cm thick.
Step 4
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Step 5
Fry the syrniki in batches, cooking each side for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Step 6
Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as sour cream, jam, or honey.
